Doug is a Design Director and hospitality practice area expert in Gensler’s Houston office. During his 17-year career at the firm, he has focused his work on curated hospitality interiors with clients such as Marriott International, MGM, and Hyatt to name a few. Doug has incredible attention to detail and has worked on all phases of a project, from concept through construction.

His project experience ranges from boutique to large scale hotels, restaurants, bars, lounge, and multifamily residential. Having a background in lifestyle focused work, he is intrigued by the details, such as custom furnishing and materials, that can bring a space to life by creating depth and emotion for the people who interact with it.

Doug believes great design requires great storytelling. He collaborates with clients to create exceptional environments that tell a unique story and reflect the importance of each client's brand.
